What we do

The lineup

Tell us what you're going for and we'll get you right. Every service ends the same way: clean edges, a blend you can't find the line in, and a look in the mirror before you're up.

House standard

Fades & tapers

Skin fades, burst fades, drop fades, tapers, textured crops on top. Bring a photo or just tell us how you wear it.

Hot towel

Beards & shaves

Beard trims shaped clean, and straight razor shaves finished with a hot towel when you want the works.

Good for kids

Kids cuts

First cuts, school-week cleanups, wiggly toddlers, criers included. We take our time so they leave smiling.

The detail

Eyebrows

Get the brows cleaned up while you're in the chair, so the whole look finishes sharp.

A scalp micropigmentation session in our studio, the hairline mapped out under the ring light

Scalp micropigmentation

Get your hairline back

SMP, done right here in the studio: small dots of pigment that rebuild a receding hairline or fill in thinning spots, pass by pass, until it reads like a fresh low fade. It starts with a consultation, we look at your hair loss together and map out something natural.

"This has been the life changing event, second to having my kids. ... I really have no words for how much detail and dedication they really put into the whole process."

Christopher · Google review

"It was a great value to me to restore what time has took from my hair. ... I highly suggest coming to get a hair loss smp consultation with Nevin and Eduardo."

The chairs

Ask for your barber

Every chair in here has its regulars. Book with your barber by name, or walk in and we'll match you with the right one. Here's how people talk about theirs:

Kike

"Thanks for the great service and on point haircuts you have provided me over the past 5+ year Kike! ... Everyone at AZ Barber Studio makes you feel like a king when you arrive."

Brian · Google review
Tommy

"I've had the opportunity to get my haircut by Tommy and one thing I can tell you is he will not only cut your hair how you want it ... he remembers the conversations you have about stuff, and has a smile every time."

David · Google review
Mercy

"Mercy took her time, asked me questions, and provided her own professional opinion on what would look best. She ended up giving me the best haircut I have ever gotten."

Jason · Google review
David V

Eduardo

"Eduardo was extremely kind and welcoming, he gave my CRYING toddler a haircut like it was no hassle. He truly loves what he does and goes beyond what you would expect at a barber shop."

Maria · Google review

The visit

While you're in the chair

A drink on us

Water, soda, or a cold beer in your hand while you get cut.

The hot towel finish

Towel on, edges checked, neck cleaned up. Ask for it with your cut or shave and walk out fresh.

The game on

TVs at the stations, good conversation if you're up for it, a quiet chair if you're not. Your barber reads the room.

"Israel was my barber and gave me an awesome skin fade and really listened to my requests. They also offer water, soda and even beer while you get cut. Oh and I got a hot towel finish along with a massage!"

The work

Fresh out of the chair

Straight from our chairs and our feed. There's plenty more on Instagram, @calacas.studio.

Low skin fade blended clean, white neck strip still on
Slicked-back pompadour with a high fade, checked in the station mirror
Eduardo finishing a client's slick back, shot in black and white
Two of our barbers working side by side in the studio
A straight razor detail during a shave, client reclined under a fresh cape
A little one smiling with his fresh comb-over fade
Tommy combing out a toddler's cut while the little guy holds his snack

Kids need to stay fresh too

We keep kid capes on hand and we don't rush first cuts. Tears turn into high fives by the time the mirror comes out.

"My kids love coming here for their haircuts. They always get exactly what they ask for. The place is clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming."
